how it all started
BARTS® was born in the summer of 1986, when founder Bart Koene was selling handmade swim shorts on the beaches of Saint-Tropez. An improvised bandana, worn by one of his helpers, quickly became popular and inspired him to focus on headwear. A few years later, BARTS® was established.
Over the past thirty years, BARTS® has grown into a leading accessories brand. In addition to its well-known winter collection of beanies, scarves, and gloves, the brand now also offers an extensive summer range, including bags, hats, swimwear, and beachwear for women, men, and children.
Today, BARTS® is available through more than 3,000 retail locations across Europe, as well as its own online webshop.
